| In May, individual WVU colleges and schools host their own commencement ceremonies. The P.I. Reed School of Journalism's ceremony includes a processional of graduation candidates, keynote speaker and student recognition. Graduates are individually recognized and cross the stage as their names are called to shake hands and pause for photos with their program chair, the School's dean, the WVU presiding officer and honored guests. A reception will follow the ceremony.
The School of Journalism invites all December 2012 graduates to join their fellow May 2013 graduates in this celebration. As a courtesy, the School also invites prospective August 2013 graduates to participate.
Due to limited seating and safety concerns, this ceremony is a ticketed event. Only those graduates who submitted an RSVP have access to tickets. Based on the number of RSVPs and ticket availability, each graduate will be able to claim four (4) guest tickets. (Graduates do not need to claim a ticket for themselves). Graduates must claim and print their guest tickets by March 22, 2013. Guests must have these tickets to enter the ceremony.

While the P.I. Reed School of Journalism’s ceremony begins at 9:30 am, graduates should arrive by 8:30 am for line-up.

Special seating is available for guests with physical limitations in Row M. Wheelchair spaces are color coded as grey blocks and will count as a guest ticket.
